Erasmus+ project 2015-2017: From raw material to final product

Our school’s Erasmus+ project is an international project between six European countries, with schools from Germany, Italy, Iceland, Spain, Greece and Finland, one school from each country.

Lahden yhteiskoulu has the honour to represent Finland and Lahti. We have a group of about 30 pupils and four teachers in our school working with the project, and we get together at least once a month.

Every school will make a presentation of a product or products that are characteristic to their country and region. Finland will present the manufacturing process of rye bread and a piece of furniture phase by phase.

In addition, the group members will visit some of the countries and schools mentioned above. The hosting school will present their products to the pupils and teachers from the other countries. Lahden yhteiskoulu will be hosting visitors between 18th and 26th of February 2016.

Pupils involved in this project will learn about international co-operation, working together in groups, and communicating in foreign languages.
